supremati’s travel guide

The Newt in Somerset

We’re starting our travel guide with the Newt in Somerset hotel, which really opens its vacationers to a slice of their magical country side. Former editor of Elle Decoration South Africa, Karen Roos, designed the hotel’s interiors, which are simple and modern yet also warm and inviting.

There are workshops that run daily, including tours and walks of their vast gardens and landscapes, the beezantium, the Roman Villa, and the Cyder bar. Some of the activities include cyder tastings, bee safaris, botanical silk dyeing, horticultural courses, dawn/dusk walks, and a garden and chef course. Thus, the stay is adaptable to families, couples, or friend holidays. Alongside this there is also a spa for the ultimate relaxing escape. And there are three restaurants, all offering food made from their own fresh, home-grown produce.

The Newt in Somerset really offers an exciting and beautiful stay. Their attention to detail means there is lots to do and lots to see, with guaranteed enjoyment.
